Andrew is the creator of a future soul duo called "Sample Kulture." He also leads "Texturz" an original nu jazz piano trio and composes classical works for piano and small ensembles.

Sample Kulture is a future soul duo that sews jazz, electronic, pop, and hip-hop into a warm blankie. Lush female vocals emerge from vinyl textures, lofi electric pianos, and crunchy synths. Inspired by broken beats, huge synths, and modern jazz Andrew Stephen and Chrissy Renick formed Sample Kulture in 2019. Their debut release of Stephen's arrangement of "Summer Breeze" (Seals and Crofts) rapidly garnered attention and what started out as a small project quickly turned into a full blown collaboration. Challenging the notion of what constitutes soul, the two put forth their vocal heavy, synth laden experiment in jazz, pop, and beyond.
